Tinnitus - you are not alone.
Earlier this month marked Tinnitus Awareness Week, and it felt like the right moment to talk about something many of our members live with every day. Tinnitus — that persistent ringing, buzzing, or humming that nobody else can hear — affects around 7 million people in the UK. For some it's a minor irritation, for others it can be exhausting and deeply distressing.
What's important to know is that you don't have to manage it alone. There is no cure yet, but there are real and effective ways to cope — from sound therapy and relaxation techniques to simply talking to others who understand exactly what you're going through. That's something we can offer right here in our own group.
This year's Tinnitus Week focused on live music and hearing conservation — a reminder that protecting our hearing matters at every age.
